November is national Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, & Education Month, or Youth HOPE Month! It’s also Homelessness Awareness Month in our state.
The statewide kickoff event for Homelessness Awareness Month will be held at the Community Partners Campus in Wausau, WI on Nov. 1 at noon. This event is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend. This event is an opportunity to build much needed awareness of the homelessness crisis in our state and local communities.
At Briarpatch Youth Services, we honor the month by putting purple and green flags on Rimrock Road. These flags represent the youth who are unhoused, or housing insecure, in our community. In addition, you’ll see photos of our staff team on social media honoring the month by wearing green and purple. Thank you for being our partner in shedding a light on Youth HOPE Month!
