Parent Support Program

The Parent Support Program holds monthly group meetings. The group meetings are held the 1st Thursday of each month from 6:00 – 7:00 PM on Microsoft Teams and the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in-person. For Parent Support and Parent Support Group/Program, please contact the Program Manager for an in-person intake meeting.

The Parent Support Program services are designed to assist concerned parents and caregivers of a youth or young adult experiencing one or more of the following challenges:

  • Drug or alcohol abuse
  • Mental health challenges
  • Truancy and academic problems
  • Chronic runaway behaviors
  • Physical violence and abusive behaviors
  • Self-harm and cutting
  • Parent/child conflict
  • Difficulty with interpersonal relationships

Hi,

I’m Angie Thompson, It’s wonderful to meet you! I’m a former Special Education Teacher and Program Support Teacher at MMSD and SPASD. My commitment is to pairing with guardians, serving as a resource, and actively engaging with the community. Problem-solving with schools and making a positive impact are essential to me. I love that this is my job and my passion.
